LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning at an Airbnb rental property in Anderson County, leaving two individuals with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The incident took place at approximately 1:27 a.m. on Lover's Leap Road near Lawrenceburg when Kentucky State Police received a report of shots fired. According to investigators, a large party involving approximately 50-75 Kentucky State University students was underway at the rental property when a major altercation erupted and a firearm was discharged.

The two injured parties were identified as Darris Ivy, 19, of Saint Clair, Illinois, and Kamora Laye, 20, of Louisville, Kentucky. Both sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were transported to Frankfort Regional Hospital for treatment. Neither victim's affiliation with KSU was immediately confirmed.

"Detectives attempted to interview several individuals at the scene; however, due to a lack of cooperation, no suspect information was obtained at that time," a Kentucky State Police statement said. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to process evidence from the scene.

Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort, which serves Anderson County as well as Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer, and Woodford counties, is leading the investigation. The Lawrenceburg Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff's Office, and Anderson County EMS provided assistance at the scene.
