Chrisman Mill Road in Jessamine County Closes Oct. 20-21 for Culvert Work
Motorists in Jessamine County should plan for a temporary closure of KY 1541 (Chrisman Mill Road) on Tuesday, Oct. 20, and Wednesday, Oct. 21, according to a traffic advisory issued by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) on Oct. 16, 2026. The closure is needed so bridge crews can safely perform maintenance on a culvert.
On both days, the road will be closed at mile point 6.3, about 0.3 miles south of KY 1981 (Logana Pike). The closure will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
During the closure, KYTC says motorists may use KY 1981 (Logana Pike) and KY 39 (Sulphur Well Pike) as alternate routes. Drivers are asked to use extra caution and to plan their trips around the closed section.
KYTC said the schedule is tentative and could change because of weather, emergencies or other factors outside the control of the Department of Highways. Motorists can check for live traffic updates at GoKy.ky.gov.
The advisory was issued by KYTC's District 7 office, which oversees transportation projects in 12 counties: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford.
