Scott County is located north of Lexington in the Bluegrass region and sits along a major corridor of I-75 that connects the region to northern Kentucky and Cincinnati. The closure is part of routine maintenance conducted by KYTC District 7, which covers 12 counties including Fayette, Madison, Jessamine, Woodford, and others in the central Kentucky area.
