LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced overnight lane closures on southbound Interstate 75 in Fayette County for pavement work, according to a KYTC District 7 traffic advisory.

The right two lanes of southbound I-75 will be closed from 8 p.m. on June 23 through 7 a.m. on June 24 between mile markers 113 and 111, located between Paris Pike and the southern split. All traffic during the closure will be restricted to the far left lane. The Paris Pike exit ramps will remain open.

The closure is part of ongoing construction activity on I-75 in Fayette County. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has been conducting multiple projects on the interstate corridor this year, including a $1.4 million bridge deck restoration project near mile point 110.5 that began June 18. Earlier in the month, KYTC conducted high-velocity surface treatment work on both northbound and southbound lanes between mile markers 107.4 and 110.8 from May 27 through June 12.

Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in work areas. All work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
