LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has scheduled a temporary closure of the Legacy Trail for maintenance work on Wednesday, Sept. 23, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.

The trail will be closed at the I-75/I-64 underpass from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for maintenance operations, weather permitting. The closure is tentative and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances.

The Legacy Trail, a popular recreational path in Fayette County, serves pedestrians and cyclists throughout the Lexington area. The underpass closure may affect users planning to traverse that section of the trail during the scheduled maintenance window.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises trail users to check GoKy.ky.gov for live traffic and closure updates. KYTC District 7 covers Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties.
