The University of Kentucky women's golf team finished eighth at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, posting a 22-over-par 886 after three rounds of competition at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan. The preseason 31st-ranked Wildcats improved their position and scoring in the final round Wednesday, carding a 10-over-par 298 despite challenging conditions including mist and the threat of thunderstorms.

Senior Cathryn Brown of Eddyville paced the team throughout the tournament, carding her best score of the week in the final round with a 1-under-par 71 to finish tied for ninth individually at 1-under-par 215. Brown played par or better in all three rounds and finished 44 consecutive rounds contributing to the team total, a streak dating to her sophomore season in spring 2025. She has recorded nine top-10 finishes across 29 total events in her college career.

Junior C.A. Carter, a Lexington native, posted the team's second-best individual finish at tie for 26th with a 6-over-par 222. Carter improved her tournament total compared to last year's Folds of Honor Collegiate and also contributed a crucial eagle on the 503-yard, par-5 No. 13 during the second round.

Kentucky returned to the Folds of Honor Collegiate for the second consecutive year as part of a prestigious field that included No. 4 Texas A&M and No. 28 Florida State. The Seminoles surged two spots on the final day, going 5-under in the third round to claim the team championship with a 3-under-par 883 overall.

Head coach Golda Borst, in her 17th season, assembled an entirely upperclassmen roster highlighted by veterans from the program's seventh NCAA Championship appearance in spring 2026. The Wildcats will compete next at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational on September 21-22 at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, with free admission open to fans.
