Kentucky softball announces 2027 SEC schedule with familiar matchups
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Wildcats announced their 2027 SEC softball schedule, featuring eight three-game series beginning in mid-March and running through the second weekend in May. The regular season will conclude before the conference tournament takes place May 11-15.
The schedule includes matchups against six prominent programs from the 2026 NCAA tournament landscape. Kentucky will play two series against teams that reached last year's Women's College World Series, four teams that advanced to the Super Regionals and seven teams that competed in the Regional round.
The Wildcats will open conference play at home March 19-21 against LSU at John Cropp Stadium, the first of four home series. South Carolina visits Lexington April 9-11, followed by Arkansas on April 23-25. The season concludes at home during senior weekend April 30-May 2 against Texas A&M.
Kentucky's road schedule includes back-to-back trips in late March and early April, with the Wildcats traveling to Ole Miss on March 26-28 and Missouri on April 2-4. The team will also visit Florida on April 16-18 and Mississippi State on May 6-8 to close the regular season.
The 2027 SEC Softball Tournament will be held at Toyota Field in Madison, Alabama, marking the first time in decades the tournament will be held at a neutral site rather than rotating among conference campuses. The tournament will remain in Madison through 2030.
The Wildcats will begin their fall schedule Sunday at 1 p.m. against Louisville in a 10-inning exhibition game. Admission is free, and fans are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages, though alcohol is prohibited.
