Kentucky midfielder Agustin Lopez has been named to the 2026 United Soccer Coaches Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watchlist, the organization announced Sunday. The Hermann Trophy is the highest individual honor in collegiate soccer, awarded annually to the top male and female Division I players.

The Argentine midfielder is coming off an impressive sophomore season in 2025, earning First Team All-Sun Belt honors and United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Second Team recognition. Lopez appeared in 14 matches, making 11 starts, while scoring four goals—third-most on the team—with two assists and 10 points. He recorded his first career brace in a 2-0 victory over Coastal Carolina.

Lopez, a 5-foot-9 midfielder from Santa Fe, Argentina, has impressed scouts since joining Kentucky's program. As a freshman in 2024, he was ranked No. 35 on Top Drawer Soccer's Midseason Freshman Top 100 list, with his then-head coach praising his quick attacking play.

The Wildcats are preparing for the 2026 season following a successful 2025 campaign that included a Sun Belt Regular Season title. Kentucky will conclude preseason play on August 14 at home against UAB before the regular season opener on August 20 against Western Michigan. The squad will look to build on Lopez's productive play as they pursue another conference championship.
