KYTC announces daytime closure on U.S. 460 in Scott County
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has scheduled a road closure on U.S. 460 (Frankfort Road) in Scott County for paving operations, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.
The closure will take place on Aug. 10 between mile points 7.9 and 8.3 near Canewood Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes including the U.S. 460 Bypass and Paynes Depot Road during the four-hour closure.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet urges drivers to exercise caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zone. All road work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and remain subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances.
Motorists can monitor traffic conditions using the GoKY traffic app or Waze for real-time updates. KYTC District 7 oversees transportation infrastructure in 12 central Kentucky counties, including Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford.
