KYTC announces shoulder closures on I-75, New Circle Road next week
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced scheduled shoulder closures for routine maintenance on Interstate 75 and Kentucky Route 4 in Fayette County next week, according to a traffic advisory released by KYTC District 7.
Work is scheduled daily from Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Affected locations include three northbound sections of I-75 and one eastbound section of New Circle Road (KY 4).
On I-75 northbound, shoulder closures will occur at Exit 99 to U.S. 25, Exit 104 to KY 418, and Exit 108 to KY 1425. On New Circle Road, the closure will be on the eastbound side at Exit 18 to KY 1974.
Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zones. All scheduled closures are subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances.
This is part of ongoing maintenance and construction activity in the area. The transportation cabinet has conducted similar shoulder closure work on these routes throughout the spring as part of regular upkeep efforts.
