LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close the right lane of northbound U.S. 25 (Richmond Road) between Idle Hour Drive and the Holiday Road/Chinoe Road intersection on Thursday, August 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, according to a KYTC press release.

The lane closure, affecting mile points 11.6 and 12.0 in Fayette County, is necessary for tree trimming operations. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists to use extra caution and watch for signs and personnel while traveling through the work zone.

All work and closures are scheduled tentatively and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other unforeseen factors, according to the transportation agency. Drivers can monitor traffic conditions using GoKY or via Waze on their smartphones.
