KYTC schedules closure on Hume Bedford Pike for drain work
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has scheduled a road closure on Hume Bedford Pike (KY 1939) in Fayette County to replace a cross drain, according to a KYTC District 7 advisory.
The closure is set for Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. between Russell Cave Road (KY 353) and Elizabeth Station Road/Greenwich Pike (KY 1876), affecting mile points 0.2-1.7 of the route.
Motorists traveling the area should plan to use alternate routes including Russell Cave Road (KY 353), Elizabeth Station Road/Greenwich Pike (KY 1876), and U.S. 460. The KYTC advises drivers to allow extra time for their commute during the closure period.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet noted that all work and closures are scheduled tentatively and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances beyond the department's control.
