LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced scheduled shoulder closures for maintenance work on Interstate 75 and Kentucky 4 in Fayette County from Monday through Friday next week, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.

Maintenance operations will occur daily from April 20-24 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Northbound I-75 will see shoulder closures at three separate locations: Exit 99 to U.S. 25, Exit 104 to Kentucky 418, and Exit 108 to Kentucky 1425. On Kentucky 4, also known as New Circle Road, an eastbound shoulder closure is scheduled at Exit 18.

Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in work areas. The KYTC noted that all work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other circumstances beyond the department's control. Drivers can monitor traffic updates and road conditions through GoKY.ky.gov.

This maintenance work follows recent construction activity in the region. The KYTC completed nighttime lane closures on I-75 in Fayette County for bridge deck repairs earlier this month. KYTC District 7 maintains transportation infrastructure across a 12-county region including Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties.
