The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced rolling roadblock operations scheduled on Interstate 75 in Scott County as crews conduct maintenance work on the heavily traveled corridor.

According to a KYTC press release, northbound rolling roadblocks are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 6 p.m. to midnight between mile points 134 and 140. Southbound operations are planned for Thursday, Sept. 3, during the same hours on the same stretch of highway.

Rolling roadblocks are mobile operations that allow maintenance crews to safely work while temporarily slowing traffic. Motorists should expect temporary delays and use extra caution while traveling through the work zone, KYTC advised. All work and closures remain subject to change due to weather, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.

The announcement comes as I-75 continues to experience ongoing construction in the region. Earlier this summer, crews began a $6.8 million improvement project at the northbound rest area in Scott County between mile points 126.3 and 127.4, with work expected to continue through November 2026.

Motorists are encouraged to monitor traffic conditions through GoKY or Waze navigation apps before and during their travels.
