LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced scheduled road closures on KY 300 in Boyle County for infrastructure maintenance work this week. The closure will affect motorists traveling through the area during daytime hours on April 16 and 17.

KY 300 will be closed between mile points 0.0 and 3.0 on Thursday, April 16 and Friday, April 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, weather permitting. The closures are necessary for cross drain replacement, a routine maintenance project to address drainage infrastructure along the state route.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during closure hours. The KYTC District 7 office, which oversees 12 central Kentucky counties including Boyle, suggests using KY 34 and Alum Springs Cross Pike as alternative routes. Drivers should use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work area.

The work schedule is tentative and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances.
