LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will conduct maintenance work on Interstate 75 and New Circle Road next week, closing shoulders on both major thoroughfares during daytime hours.

According to a KYTC District 7 press release, work is scheduled daily from Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 15 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The shoulder closures will affect northbound I-75 at two locations: Exit 108 to Kentucky 1425 and Exit 104 to Kentucky 418. On New Circle Road (KY 4), eastbound traffic will experience a shoulder closure between Exit 18 and Kentucky 1974.

The KYTC District 7, which covers 12 central Kentucky counties including Fayette, oversees maintenance and construction of highways in the region. Motorists traveling through the work zones are advised to use caution, watch for signage, and be aware of personnel in the area.

The transportation cabinet noted that all work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and may be subject to change due to weather conditions, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances. For real-time traffic updates and road conditions, motorists can visit GoKY.ky.gov.
