The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close one lane on KY 39 in Jessamine County beginning Monday, May 11, for roadway slide repair work near mile point 4.2. The work will continue through Friday, May 22, weather permitting.

Crews will work daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding weekends. At times, both lanes may need to close temporarily for approximately 15 to 20 minutes as needed during operations, the KYTC announced in a press release May 8.

Motorists should expect delays and use caution in the work zone, according to the advisory. Those needing to avoid the affected area can use alternate routes: Watts Mill Road to the north or Little Hickman Road (KY 1268) to the south.

The KYTC District 7 serves 12 central Kentucky counties, including Jessamine. All work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the department's control.
