LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will conduct bridge deck pothole repairs on New Circle Road in Fayette County from May 12-15, with scheduled lane closures during daytime hours expected to impact westbound traffic.

Work will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, at three locations along the inner loop. On Tuesday, May 12, crews will work near mile point 17.0 over Chinoe Road with the right lane closed. Wednesday, May 13 repairs will take place at mile point 17.5 over Tates Creek Road, also with the right lane blocked. Friday, May 15 work is scheduled at mile point 18.5 over Lansdowne Drive with the left lane closed.

The KYTC District 7 office oversees highway maintenance throughout 12 central Kentucky counties, including Fayette. New Circle Road, also known as Kentucky Route 4, serves as an inner beltway around Lexington and experiences significant traffic congestion, particularly during rush hours.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution, reduce speed and watch for personnel and equipment in work zones. The KYTC cautioned that all closures remain tentative and subject to change due to weather, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.
