KYTC warns of lane closure on Richmond Road for tree trimming
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has advised motorists of a daytime right lane closure on northbound U.S. 25 (Richmond Road) in Fayette County for routine tree trimming operations, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.
The closure is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting. The right lane of northbound U.S. 25 will be closed between mile points 11.6 and 12.0, from the Idle Hour Drive area to the Holiday Road and Chinoe Road intersection.
Motorists are urged to use extra caution and watch for road signs and work personnel while traveling through the affected area. The KYTC noted that all work and road closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances.
Drivers can use navigation apps like GoKY or Waze to monitor traffic conditions and find alternative routes if needed. KYTC District 7 oversees transportation infrastructure in Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties.
