LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close the outbound right lane on U.S. 68 (Harrodsburg Road) in Fayette County on July 20 to conduct storm drain cleaning operations, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.

The closure will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fort Harrods Drive (mile point 2.4), weather permitting. The right-turn lane from Fort Harrods Drive onto outbound U.S. 68 will also be closed during the work to allow crews to safely clean storm drains along the busy corridor.

Motorists traveling through the area should use extra caution and watch for work zone signage and personnel. The KYTC noted that all work and lane closures are scheduled tentatively and may change depending on weather, emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances.
