Lexington Catholic fell just short of a dramatic comeback Saturday, dropping a 28-27 decision to defending Class 2A state champion Lexington Christian Academy in a battle of the local Catholic schools. The Knights trailed by a point in what proved a heartbreaker for the home crowd.

In football, Henry Clay fell 28-19 to Dixie Heights, a result that marked the Blue Devils' tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. Bryan Station picked up a decisive boys soccer win, shutting out Larry A Ryle 2-1 at home, while Lexington Christian dominated Southwestern 4-1 on the pitch.

Lafayette's girls soccer team played to a 2-2 draw with Bishop Brossart on Saturday, the first time the Generals settled for a draw since August 29th. In volleyball, Bryan Station split four games, defeating Henry County 2-1 but losing to Franklin County and Woodford County. Lafayette won once and lost twice—beating North Hardin 2-0 while falling to Ballard and Western Hills. Tates Creek split as well, dropping to John Hardin but downing Thomas Nelson 2-1. Sayre suffered back-to-back losses at the Owensboro Convention Center.
