Frederick Douglass kept a clean sheet against Powell County on Tuesday, dominating the visitors 7-0 at home. Considering Frederick Douglass have won five games by more than two goals this season, another big win was nothing new.

In girls soccer, Lexington Catholic delivered a dominant performance at home, shutting out Tates Creek 8-0. Tates Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. While losing is never fun, Tates Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Lexington Catholic are ranked 18th).

In boys soccer, Henry Clay won the last time they faced Lafayette and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Generals by a score of 3-1. Henry Clay has now won five of their last six games on the road. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Elsewhere, Lexington Catholic edged Lexington Christian 3-0 at the Academy, while Paul Laurence Dunbar tied Covington Catholic 0-0 at home. Bryan Station fell to Madison Central 0-2 on the road, and Sayre lost to Scott County 1-5 away.

In girls volleyball, Frederick Douglass took down Scott County 3-1 at home. Bryan Station fell to Henry Clay 0-3 on the road, and Paul Laurence Dunbar lost to Lexington Catholic 0-3 at home.

In girls soccer, Sayre dominated Garrard County 6-0 at home.
