Lexington Christian won seven of their last eight games at home, powered to a 10-5 record this season, notching three straight victories last night. The Eagles beat Fleming County 2-0, Bracken County 2-0, and Frankfort High School 2-0 to extend their hot streak. Sayre's boys soccer team also dominated, crushing Berea Community 8-0 on the road.

In girls soccer, Henry Clay faced Paul Laurence Dunbar in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday and fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. Paul Laurence Dunbar's defense earned the team's third straight shutout. Lafayette defeated Woodford County 3-1 on the road, and Frederick Douglass fell to North Oldham 3-1 at home.

Girls volleyball saw mixed results otherwise. Lexington Catholic fell to Bowling Green 0-2 at home, while Sayre picked up two wins, edging Scott High School 2-0 at Montgomery County High School and defeating Raceland High School 2-0 at home.
