Lexington's Public Safety Operations Center will conduct scheduled phone maintenance on August 10, temporarily affecting administrative lines while ensuring emergency services remain fully operational.

The maintenance is scheduled to take place from approximately 5 a.m. until 7 a.m. During this time, administrative phone lines to the Public Safety Operations Center and Enhanced 911, including (859) 258-3600 and (859) 258-5600, will be temporarily unreachable.

Emergency response capabilities will not be affected. The 911 emergency lines will remain fully operational throughout the maintenance window, and text to 911 service will also remain available for those unable to make voice calls.

Residents who need to reach administrative phone lines during the maintenance period should call 911, and dispatchers will direct calls appropriately. The city said the two-hour window was chosen to minimize disruption to daytime operations.
