LEXINGTON, Ky. — A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a robbery and attempted burglary at a BP gas station in Lexington.

Jonathan Parker faces multiple felony charges stemming from separate incidents at the BP station located at 405 Waller Avenue. On June 11 around 7 a.m., a suspect entered the store, displayed a firearm and demanded money before fleeing with cash and merchandise. Parker has been charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree in connection with that incident.

Eight days later on June 19 around 5 a.m., the same gas station was targeted again. An individual damaged the front window during an attempted burglary but fled when police arrived. Police apprehended the suspect shortly after. For this incident, Parker faces charges of Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Burglary 3rd Degree (Attempted) and Fleeing or Evading Police 3rd Degree.

No injuries were reported during either incident. Parker remains held at the Fayette County Detention Center pending court proceedings.
