LEXINGTON, Ky. — Paving work in the Chevy Chase neighborhood on Euclid Avenue and High Street will begin tonight as part of a water main replacement project, according to city officials.

Contractors will work Wednesday, Sept. 30, through Monday, Oct. 5, with nighttime operations scheduled to minimize traffic disruption. ATS Construction, a private contractor working for Kentucky American Water, is handling the final paving phase of a project that began last year to replace aging water infrastructure in the area.

The city is encouraging motorists to use navigation apps for the latest closure information and real-time updates on affected roadways. Weather permitting, night work will continue throughout the scheduled window. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government will monitor progress to ensure contractors work productively and that inconvenience to residents is kept to a minimum.

Water main replacement projects are routine maintenance efforts designed to improve service reliability and water quality for residents across Lexington's aging infrastructure network.
