Two things people are chewing on over on R Lexington this morning.

First up, Trump asked Lexington businessman Nate Morris to drop out of the Senate race and become an ambassador instead.

Morris said yes, so no more of those campaign ads flooding our screens.

Thank goodness. Though now we still have to deal with Andy Barr's commercials, which folks say are somehow even worse.

Hold on, we've got someone calling in about this.

OK so someone pointed out that Nate Morris looks exactly like the villain in an eighties cartoon where he's the evil businessman trying to close down the park, and all the raccoons and squirrels have to team up with friendship and singing to stop him.

That's weirdly specific and completely accurate.

I can totally see that now.

Also getting heated discussion about the Ryan Dotson race for Kentucky's sixth district seat.

People are not holding back on their opinions about his family values campaign messaging.

One person said they cringe every time they see a Dotson yard sign in their neighborhood.

Politics always brings out the strong feelings around here.
