LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government's Technical Review Committee is scheduled to consider 12 development and subdivision projects on July 29, according to the committee's agenda.

The committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. ET at the Phoenix Building's 3rd Floor Conference Room to review one final subdivision plan, five major development plans, two zoning development plans, one minor plan, and several previously postponed items.

Among the projects scheduled for technical review is a development plan for Griffen Gate Center that would involve a Clarion Hotel expansion. The proposal would include a new Hampton Inn and Suites location between the Clarion and the Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate hotel, along with additional convention center space and parking.

Other development projects on the agenda include a Tommy's Car Wash location at 2357 Remington Drive in Council District 2, a Clean Sweep Car Wash project on South Broadway and Plunkett Street in Council District 3, and White Farm at 3515 Richmond Road in Council District 7.

The Technical Review Committee brings together members of various governmental agencies and utility providers to discuss technical issues related to proposed development plans and plats before they advance to the Planning Commission. All preliminary and final subdivision plans must conform to the Land Subdivision Regulations, while development plans are required to comply with the Zoning Ordinance.

The committee also will address nine items that have been previously postponed, including South Broadway Place & Lynn Grove Addition near Burley Avenue, Squire Acres Subdivision Unit 1C, and Lochmere Tract 4 at Country Club Drive. These items carry Planning Commission approval deadlines ranging from January through August 2026.

The next Technical Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
