LEXINGTON, Ky. — Three Kentucky men's soccer players have earned preseason All-Sun Belt honors as the Wildcats prepare for the 2026 season, including midfielder Agustin Lopez and defenders Sinan Solmaz and Max Miller.

Lopez garners the recognition for the second consecutive season after an impressive sophomore campaign. The midfielder appeared in 14 matches with 11 starts in 2025, scoring four goals and adding two assists to help Kentucky win the Sun Belt regular season title. He earned First Team All-Sun Belt honors and was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Second Team. Lopez was also added to the Hermann Trophy Preseason Watchlist last week.

Solmaz, a German international, finished his first season with the Wildcats after transferring from CSU Bakersfield. The left-sided center back started 16 of Kentucky's 19 matches in 2025, accumulating 1,319 minutes for the team's defense.

Miller was selected 50th overall by Nashville SC in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft in December and enters his fifth season in Lexington. The defender appeared in 12 matches for the Wildcats in 2025, including eight starts, and recorded one assist in a 2-0 win over Coastal Carolina. Miller, a three-year team captain, is in his final season before beginning his professional career.

In the preseason coaches poll, the Wildcats were chosen to finish fourth in the Sun Belt Conference with 76 total votes, including two first-place votes. West Virginia, Marshall and UCF ranked ahead of Kentucky in the poll.

Kentucky will host UAB on Friday in a preseason exhibition at the Bell Soccer Complex before opening the regular season on Aug. 20 against Western Michigan.
