AXN Automotive Systems celebrates $15M Louisville expansion, 10 new jobs
LEXINGTON, Ky. — AXN Automotive Systems held the grand opening of its relocated Louisville facility, marking a nearly $15 million investment that will create 10 new full-time positions, with Governor Andy Beshear's Senior Advisor Rocky Adkins joining company officials for the celebration.
"The commonwealth's continued growth and surging economy ensure that Kentucky companies can stay here and take advantage of our prime location and skilled workforce," Beshear said in a statement. "Today's grand opening is an exciting step forward for AXN Automotive Systems as they relocate to a larger facility in Louisville."
Founded in Louisville in 2009, AXN is one of the nation's most established suppliers of axles, suspensions, and related components for the semi-trailer and aftermarket industries. The company was acquired by Brazilian multinational Randoncorp in 2025.
Daniel Randon, president and CEO of Randoncorp, called the investment a reflection of the company's commitment to strengthening American manufacturing. "We are proud to have AXN as part of the Randoncorp family and proud to expand our footprint in Louisville with high-quality products made in America," he said.
Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg emphasized the city's strengths in advanced manufacturing and logistics. "We're thrilled to have an innovative company like AXN Automotive Systems commit to Louisville and create jobs for our people in our community," Greenberg said.
To support the expansion, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority approved a 10-year incentive agreement under the Kentucky Business Investment program that can provide up to $150,000 in tax incentives. The company can claim eligible incentives against its income tax liability and wage assessments by meeting annual targets.
The expansion enables new production capabilities, additional product lines, and the creation of new jobs, with the facility positioned to reach 100,000 axles in annual production capacity.
