The school district does not provide medical coverage for accidents occurring at school, making the voluntary coverage potentially valuable for families. Parents can purchase the K&K plan anytime during the school year to cover accidental injuries that occur on campus or during school-sponsored activities. The coverage can also help fill gaps left by high deductibles and co-payments in existing health insurance policies.
