KYTC Plans Road Closure on KY 37 in Boyle County for Drain Work
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced a scheduled road closure on KY 37, also known as Forkland Road, in Boyle County for cross drain replacement work.
According to a press release from KYTC District 7, KY 37 will be closed between mile points 0.0 and 1.0 on Wednesday, April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.
KYTC District 7 oversees highway construction and maintenance across 12 central Kentucky counties, including Boyle. The closure is necessary to accommodate the cross drain replacement project, which is part of the agency's ongoing infrastructure maintenance efforts in the region.
Motorists should seek alternate routes during the closure hours. The KYTC recommended alternatives include KY 243 and KY 1108. KY 37 is an 18-mile rural state highway that runs east to west through Boyle County, connecting Forkland to Danville.
Drivers are advised to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work area. The agency noted that all work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change based on weather, emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances.
