LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will conduct maintenance work on two major routes in Fayette County next week, requiring temporary shoulder closures during daytime hours.

Scheduled work will take place from Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, according to a KYTC District 7 press release issued Saturday.

On Interstate 75, northbound shoulder closures are planned at two locations: near Exit 99 at U.S. 25 and near Exit 104 at KY 418. New Circle Road (KY 4) will experience shoulder closures in both directions near Exit 18 at KY 1974.

The KYTC advises motorists to use caution and watch for signage and work personnel in affected areas. All closures are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.

The work is part of ongoing maintenance efforts by KYTC District 7, which oversees highways in 12 central Kentucky counties. The district regularly performs road maintenance including pothole patching, mowing, and snow removal.
