LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has rescheduled overhead panel sign replacement work on Interstate 75 southbound in Fayette County for Thursday, Aug. 6, due to a contractor equipment issue, according to a traffic advisory from KYTC District 7.

Work originally scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 4, will now occur from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., weather permitting, on I-75 southbound between the Northern Split at Exit 118 and Iron Works Pike at Exit 120. Intermittent lane closures will be in place during the work.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 7 office oversees highway construction and maintenance across 12 central Kentucky counties, including Fayette, Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford. The office performs regular maintenance operations on interstates and state highways in the region.

Motorists are advised to use extra caution and watch for signage and personnel while traveling through the work zone. All work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances.
