LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close lanes on Interstate 75 and Kentucky 4 (New Circle Road) in Fayette County from August 24-26 for bridge deck pothole repairs, according to a traffic advisory released by KYTC District 7.

Motorists will encounter temporary lane closures during the three-day repair operation. On Monday, August 24, the right or slow lane on the eastbound outer loop of New Circle Road will close near mile point 14 at the Richmond Road overpass from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Wednesday, August 26, the slow lane on I-75 southbound near mile point 116 right before Exit 115 (Newtown Pike) will close from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists to use extra caution, reduce speed, and watch for personnel and equipment in work zones. The repairs are part of the Cabinet's ongoing efforts to maintain the region's highway system. KYTC maintains over 27,600 centerline miles of roadways statewide.

All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. District 7 covers Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford counties.
