The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close two left-turn lanes on southbound U.S. 127 at U.S. 127B in Mercer County beginning Monday as part of a concrete intersection improvement project, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.

Lane closures are scheduled to begin Monday, July 6, at 5 a.m., weather permitting. The affected left-turn lanes at mile point 6.2 are expected to be reopened by Saturday, July 11. Motorists turning onto U.S. 127B will use the existing left through lane during the closure period.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises drivers to expect delays and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Motorists should watch for signage and personnel working in the area. KYTC emphasized that all work and closures are scheduled tentatively and remain subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other unforeseen factors.
