GEORGETOWN, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is advising motorists of scheduled shoulder work in Scott County on Aug. 26, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.

Crews will install edge and buffer lines from Mulberry Street to East Main Street Extended/Warrendale Avenue beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The work is expected to be completed the same night. During the installation, shoulder street parking will be blocked in the work zone to provide crews adequate space.

Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution and watch for crews working in the area. All scheduled work is tentative and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the Transportation Cabinet's control, KYTC said.

KYTC District 7 oversees transportation infrastructure in 12 central Kentucky counties, including Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford. Drivers can track real-time traffic conditions using GoKY or the Waze smartphone application.
