LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close one lane of KY 37 (Forkland Road) in Boyle County next week for slide repair work, the agency announced Wednesday.

The closure will be in effect Friday, April 24 and Monday through Wednesday, April 27-29, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. The work is scheduled between mile points 1.28 and 1.93 on the eastbound side of the road near the Forkland Community Center, a focal point for the small rural community.

The work will involve a single-lane closure with flagging operations to manage traffic flow. Motorists are advised to watch for signage and personnel in the work area. To avoid delays, the KYTC recommends using alternate routes including KY 1856 (Scrubgrass Road), KY 1108 (Mitchellsburg Knob Road), and KY 34 (Lebanon Road).

The KYTC District 7 office oversees construction and maintenance of highways across twelve central Kentucky counties. All work schedules are tentative and subject to change due to weather, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.
