
Frederick Douglass, Sayre dominate in Week 3; Lafayette stays unbeaten
Frederick Douglass made a statement on Friday, routing Tates Creek 48-0 in a dominant defensive effort. The Broncos are among the state's elite programs and continued their strong play to remain unbeaten. Sayre also impressed, throttling Williamsburg 57-18 on the road to extend its winning streak.
Lafayette remained undefeated with a dominant 46-0 victory over Shelby County at home, capping off a convincing weekend. Lexington Christian edged Franklin County 40-21 at home, while Bryan Station narrowly escaped with a 17-14 win over visiting Ballard. Lexington Catholic claimed a road victory at Great Crossing, winning 35-14.
Henry Clay suffered a setback, falling 44-7 to George Rogers Clark on the road. Paul Laurence Dunbar lost on the road to West Jessamine, 39-8.
In girls' volleyball, Sayre defeated Woodford County 2-1 at home.
