Bryan Station's girls soccer team posted a shutout of its own, defeating Tates Creek 5-0 at home. Henry Clay picked up a conference win, topping Larry A Ryle High School 2-1 at home.

On the boys' side, Sayre fell to Danville High School 4-1 at home, dropping an early-season contest.

Sayre's volleyball team had a dominant night, sweeping four opponents: Breckinridge County (2-0), Corbin High School (2-0), and Thomas Nelson High School (2-0). The Spartans' strong performance stands in contrast to Bryan Station, which went 2-2 on the day, defeating Marshall County (2-0) and Henry County (2-0) before falling to Sayre (0-2) and Corbin (0-2) at the Bryan Station invitational. Frederick Douglass topped Ballard High School 2-0 in a dominant performance at home, while Lafayette struggled, dropping matches to Great Crossing (1-2) and Ballard (0-2).

Lexington Catholic's girls soccer team continued its winning ways, routing Corbin High School 8-0 at an out-of-area competition hosted at Rowan County Senior High School.
