The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close a section of KY 1331 (Howards Mill Road) in Montgomery County on Thursday, Aug. 27 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for cross drain repairs, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.

The closure will affect the road at mile point 0.4, near Stepstone Road. Motorists may use alternate routes including KY 713, KY 965 and U.S. 60 during the closure, weather permitting.

KYTC District 7 oversees transportation infrastructure in 12 central Kentucky counties, including Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford.

The KYTC advises that all scheduled work and closures are tentative and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other unforeseen factors. Motorists can track traffic conditions in real time using the GoKY website or the Waze smartphone application.
