The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced a scheduled road closure on New Dixville Road (KY 1941) in Mercer County to address a road slide, according to KYTC District 7.

The roadway will be closed between mile points 3.0 and 4.0 from Thursday, May 7, through Friday, May 15, with the closure in effect daily between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, which maintains over 27,600 centerline miles of roadways across the state, advises motorists in the area to seek alternate routes during closure hours.

Drivers can use KY 152, KY 422, KY 1920, and U.S. 68 as alternative routes while repairs are underway. The KYTC requests that motorists use caution and watch for road signs and personnel in the area during the repair work.

The Cabinet noted that all work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and may be subject to change based on weather conditions, emergencies, and other unforeseen factors beyond the Department of Highways' control.
