Road closure scheduled on U.S. 460 in Scott County for repairs
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will close a section of U.S. 460 in Scott County on Monday, Aug. 3, for cross drain repair operations, according to a press release from KYTC District 7.
The closure will be in place on U.S. 460, also known as Frankfort Road, between mile points 7.9 and 8.3 near Canewood Boulevard from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. The Kentucky Department of Highways District 7 oversees highway maintenance and construction across 12 central Kentucky counties, including Scott County.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes including the U.S. 460 Bypass and Paynes Depot Road during the closure. The department recommends using extra caution and watching for signage and personnel while traveling through the work zone.
All work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other unforeseen factors. Motorists can receive up-to-date traffic information through GoKY or the Waze navigation app on their smartphones.
