KYTC Plans Pavement Marking Work in Boyle, Mercer Counties
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will conduct scheduled pavement marking work at intersections in Boyle and Mercer counties from Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 17, weather permitting, according to a KYTC District 7 press release.
Contractors will update pavement arrows and lane markings at the affected intersections using thermoplastic application. Work will occur during daytime hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at two locations: KY 1915 at mile point 1.9 (KY 3366) in Boyle County and KY 390 at mile point 13.5 (U.S. 127) in Mercer County.
Boyle County motorists will encounter flagging operations at the work site, which means drivers should expect to be directed through the intersection by personnel. In Mercer County, a lane closure will be in place during the work period. The KYTC advises motorists to use caution, watch for flaggers and signage, and remain alert for personnel in the work zones.
All work and closures are tentative and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances beyond the department's control. For real-time traffic updates and road condition information, motorists can visit GoKY.ky.gov.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's District 7 covers 12 counties in the Lexington area, including Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties.
