UK Women's Basketball Reveals 2026-27 SEC Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. — The University of Kentucky women's basketball team received its Southeastern Conference home and away opponents for the 2026-27 season Tuesday, as announced by the league office.
The Wildcats will play 16 conference games during the regular season, consisting of eight home contests and eight away matchups. For the third consecutive year, Kentucky will play only one conference opponent in both home and away games—a scheduling adjustment implemented after Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC in 2024.
Tennessee will be Kentucky's sole home-and-away opponent next season. The Wildcats will host Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Texas and Vanderbilt at Historic Memorial Coliseum, while traveling to Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
The schedule comes as head coach Kenny Brooks enters his third season leading the program. Brooks earned the 2025 Sporting News National Coach of the Year award following his first season in Lexington, orchestrating a historic turnaround after the team finished 12-20 the previous year. All-SEC center Clara Strack will return for her senior season, providing veteran leadership alongside several promising young players.
The team returns to campus this weekend before summer workouts begin in late June. Remaining details about the nonconference schedule will be released at a later date. Additional games announced previously include a Dec. 3 SEC/ACC Challenge home game against Clemson and a Dec. 9 home matchup with Louisville.
